bark split

I have a very small Rhodo with bark split.I painted it with grafting wax.Will the bark heal or do i need to keep applying the grafting wax. Joe

Leave it alone.

The wax is to prevent disease. It should not need to be reapplied unless it was not mechanically stable. In that case, splint it and reapply the wax.
