Weevils....

I have a serious problem with weevils. They have beat the daylights out of my 1 year old rhodies. I spent alot of time hand picking last year, and have done a few applications of imidacloprid (drenches and pellets).

First question, I'm wondering if I should bother with Nematodes? If so, where should I get them and when should I apply them? Do I have to wait until larvae stage in late summer/Fall, or can I apply now?

Second question, is bifenthrin effective against adults? If so, is liquid of pellet form better? I can't get orthene here in NY, so I think this is my best chance at reducing adult population.

Third question, anyone have experience with using "Tanglefoot" or grease (lithium I presume) to keep adults off the branches? I'm having trouble finding tanglefoot around here, so was thinking about the grease method..

Any help would be appreciated - they've really done alot of damage, and I'm worried about long term effects with the root damage from the grubs....

Thanks for any help...
