Tons of blooms, but almost no leaves

Hi - I'm a zone 6 gardener and I have a few azaleas in my gardens. About four years ago I planted two that provide lavendar blooms and green leaves that are fairly light in color. This variety loses its leaves in the winter, with the exception of a few that hang on. For the past two years I get tons of gorgeous blooms, but once the blooms are gone there aren't very many leaves, which causes the bushes to look bare. Can someone suggest actions I can take to get a more full plant?

PS - I have other azaleas in the same area where these two are, and they do just fine.

Thanks
