I don't think there is anything you need to do with your azalea; other than being planted a little close to your porch foundation, it looks perfectly healthy.

You've mulched, and that's the key to healthy growing (slowly feeds and acidifies soil, cools roots, conserves moisture)...these shrubs have low nutrient requirements and it's best to fertilize only in response to specific symptoms, none of which I see in your photos.

Your light flowering this year is as you suspected, you pruned too late in the season. These set their flower buds in the summer for the next Springs display, if you need to prune its best done immediately after flowering or even during if you wanted blossoms for vases indoors.

Hello, Bigdaddy. I am not good at guessing plant names so I will comment on your other questions and see if someone else chimes in.

Pruning should be done as soon as flowering is done in the Spring. The flower buds usually set sometime in the summer so, if you prune then, you are actually cutting off next year's flowers.

As for food/fertilizer, they rarely need it. The decomposition of mulch under the plant provides most of the 'food'. Some people will use Hollytone or cottonseed meal in the spring. I add some bone meal at the same timed.

Have you done a soil analysis recently, say in the last 3-5 years? If not, consider one in case your soil needs additional minerals.

I have many huge azalea bushes (within height of a human) that I don't want. Location Columbia, SC. I'd gladly either sell them cheaply or give them away in exchange to fill in the holes with clean good dirt and top soil. If anyone interested in the bushes please email me.
