they do best for me with afternoon shade. might be worth moving it to a location like that in your hot climate.
hold off on the fertilizer for a while with new transplants.
give them time to get established before feeding.
not all of them are repeat bloomers, either. most of mine bloom once around memorial day.
keep the soil evenly moist but not saturated. probably not likely that you are overwatering if you have typical florida sandy soil.

The water needs to go *directly* into the rootball.
