How to remove azaleas w/out damage

I recently purchased a house in an estate sale which once had a shady backyard garden but no longer does (lots of old tree stumps, draw your own conclusion) although it still has azaleas. Lots of azaleas. Please don't hate me, but I'm not terribly fond of them and for their own sake they must go. Can someone tell me what would be the best method and time of year to dig up and donate? There are about 15 or so 3'x 3' bushes, which seem to be pretty healthy, judging by the masses of flowers. Plus a few small unhappy looking things which resemble azaleas but who knows.

And of course if someone would like to volunteer to excavate and haul them away, I would be extremely grateful. There's every azalea color represented that I've ever seen (and one bicolor) except yellow and true orange.

The azaleas and I thank you.
