Azalea & Rhododendron

New Plant--where to plant

I got an Azalea plant for Mother's day and I don't have a place for it. I understand it needs shade to partial shade. My east sideof house is out,north has hostas and further out rose bushes. South is loaded with perenials and west that may work.lAny suggestions or can I plant in a larger container.

Your azalea, if a fully blooming foil-wrapped plant from the florist, may very well not be hardy in your zone. Does it have a tag with a specific name - they sometimes do, other times not.
