Azalea propagation question??

I read somewhere that you can cut a branch off of an azalea bush and put it water and it will root and can be planted to start a whole new bush. Is this true, and what are the specifics on how to do this properly? Thanks in advance for your help!

Close, but not in water. It takes some talent, but rooting cuttings is possible. Some people do it under jars in shady areas of their yard. Most however go to much more elaborate procedures with a sterile bark dust mix and a poly bag. For details check the American Azalea Society site at:
