'Else Frye'?

I didn't know about the picture but it turns out it does look quite like 'Else Frye' - the extent and deepness of the pink coloring is more than I am used to with this one but I don't think that is enough to rule it out.

Another instance of "it's amazing what people will throw away". Not hardy in Zone 6 (are you in eastern WA?) but you can probably grow it there as a choice container subject, summer climate and mineral content of irrigation water permitting.

I think you've nailed it. R. edgeworthii it is! The man that I got it from was a collector of different and not so common plants. Many thanks, bboy

The two are similar, try to compare with living plants sometime to be sure it is not one instead of the other. 'Else Frye' is more likely to be encountered here.

The color of the stigma on "Else Frye" is very pink. The color of the stigma on R. edgworthii and the unknown is more alike and more neutral. Hence, I think that R. edgworthii is a better match.

That's fine if the color of the stigma is the same all the time.

What I notice is the plant in question - as represented by the one picture - having a less expanded and ruffled corolla. Commonly hybrids have more tarted up flowers, with bigger corollas.

That's fine if specimen being discussed always produces flowers of size and shape shown.
