Rhododendron Attracting Beneficial Insects

I saw something very interesting, and wonderful, yesterday while working in my garden. One of my rhododendrons (not sure the name since I rescued it from the side of the road (it was laying there waiting for garbage pickup) a few years ago) had a monarch butterfly on its flowers for a couple of hours!

Oh, and my yaku 'Mist Maiden' and Ingrid Melqhuist (sp?) rhodos were both literally covered with huge bumblebees when they bloomed in May. I've yet to see any hummingbirds at the flowers. Anyone else notice that their rhodos are beneficial insect attractors?
