Our new Rhododendrons just finished blooming. When I went out to pinch off the dead flowers, I noted that there was some 'sticky' substance on the flower heads I was pinching off. Does this indicate any kind of problem? There is lots of new growth off the dead ends and the leaves all have a good green shade to them.
