Prune to make the Azalea grow taller

Hi,

I have a row of 4 azalea's on each side of the house front on the flower beds. They bloom only once a year. They are all done with this year and remain nice evergreen shrub till next spring.

It's been like 2 yrs since i planted them but the size remained the same. I planted some rose bushes in the front row. The azalea's are in the back row. Now my rose bushes are taller and fuller than the azalea's.

How can i make them grow taller? Does pruning help them grow more like it does for the rose? Or do i need to replant them elsewhere? My dilemma is by next year the rose bush will overgrow the azalea in size and in spring the blooms won't be visible.

Thanks

Pavani
