Have you decided on a Rhodie yet? I am also in zone 5. Not sure where you are located. Some of my neighbors have different types of Rhodies that grow wonderfully here in Southern New Hampshire. Different colors, whites, reds, orange flowered and different shades of rose. I think the lady down the road has a yellow flowered one. Can post some pictures of them and maybe some one can identify the names to help you decide if you would like.

Here is a photo album of New Hampshire rhododendrons with the names and descriptions already in place. That should be a lot easier.
