Non-Encore repeat blooming azaleas

In the south, some spring-blooming azaleas bloom again in the fall but, so far, I have not found a partial or complete list of re-blommers anywhere. Since I am interested in adding some of these to the ones that I have, I started a list for future use/research.

Below is my tiny list from various commercial sites in the 'Net that claimed that those azaleas will rebloom. I obviously cannot vouch for those vendors' claims since I do not know them & things like geographical location, climate and other issues may influence whether these varieties will really rebloom anywhere (or in my zone). But, on I go building a list.

Does anyone know of other re-bloomers ("non-Encore")? Or, does anyone know of "a" list that someone else has made?

Varieties: Bloomin' Again, Doug's Delight, Northern Hi Lights, Opal, Red Ruffles, Rose Queen

TIA,
Luis

California Sunset has a big spring flush and then scattered bloom the rest of the season, or it did when I gardened in northern California. Can't vouch for any other areas.

I can say that the Bloom 'n Again has failed to repeat for me. I have had them for three years, and while they have a fabulous spring bloom and nice foliage, I have yet to see a rebloom. I have six different varieties of the Encore and can say I get mixed results from them all. Some rebloom consistently some only bloom heavily in the spring and some only bloom heavily in the fall.

Thanks for the info, Dieter2NC. That confirms my suspicion that many factors influence reblooming, like the zone one lives in, etc. I too have had mixed results from the Encores. Their spring bloom is the heaviest but does not seem to be as good of once bloomers or other rebloomers like Red Ruffles. I am going to see how the re-bloom of those two compare during the summer and fall seasons. Luis

Luis: I ran across this post from back in 2005 which includes lots of fall blooming azaleas -- in PA at any rate. http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/azalea/msg0617553815312.html?18274

Here is a link that might be useful: Another discussion with many more fall blooming azaleas
