Literature suggests that your pet would need to eat more than 2% of its body weight in leaves to be affected, and it's very rare that something past the puppy stage would be doing that kind of chewing...few if any cats and dogs are interested in azaleas (cows and sheep might be a different story). "Pets may nibble or taste the leaves out of curiosity or boredom, and this is not advised, but seldom leads to clinical toxicosis."
