naming rhodys and azaleas...

We are about to move into our new property and I wanted to take our rhodys and azaleas with us - however they were here before us and are probably about 20 years old (we've been here for nine years and the rhodys were already 7 feet tall when we moved in! Moving them is out of the question. I took cuttings and though not rooted yet I am hopeful.... Now if one wanted to find out the names for these vintage plants where would one look? The azaleas I'm not too concerned with but the rhodys are spectacular and I'd like to be able to buy some for the new place if the cuttings don't work.

My favorite is a white rhody with a purple throat, that hummers just adore, and is a prolific bloomer and if not for continuous pruning would cover our dining room window (an 8x6 piece of glass that is 6 feet above the ground the "shrub" is planted in!!!!)
