pruning leggy dwarf azalea - need help

| I need some pruning help. I have a few dwarf azaleas in my backyard. They are so pretty when they bloom. But, they need something and I think it is pruning. The branches are long and leafless expect near the ends so they end up having lots of branches showing. So don't I need to cut them back? Also, I need to wait until next spring to do so right? |

| Yes, pruning would help. And if you want flowers next year, then wait until after they bloom in the spring to prune. |
