How do I prune my rhodo for fullness?

kaky

Many older rhodos that I see growing wild or in gardens are scraggly and leggy at the bottom and fuller at the top. Mine seems very happy where it's planted (under high oaks). It's healthy and growing quickly. But I'd like to do what I can to keep it full from bottom to top. I don't do much pruning of my shrubs. Can anyone give me advice or point me toward a posting or web site?

Thanks very much
