| I was given a azalea in a starter pot. How should I over winter this plant? What type of soil should I use? And what kind of light requirments should I provide? Watering? Thanks in advance for all advise! It is late Oct. 2009. |

| There are tender greenhouse azaleas and hardy outdoor azaleas. Every azalea variety has a hardiness rating. If the azalea is too tender for your climate it is basically a house plant. If it is hardy for your area it is an outdoor plant.
