| Hey everyone. I'm wanting to convert one of my Rose gardens to a "Cholla Garden". I think the Cholla's when in bloom are some of the prettiest plants. Evil, but pretty. =) If I understand correctly, there are several colors of cholla, so if willing to trade a cholla for a rose bush, or if you just want to contribute to my Cholla Garden, I would love to hear from you. I will not start removing the rose bushes till the last week of October, first week of November. I would like to get all the Cholla potted up, and started rooting right now. You could put your name, dibbs on a rose plant if you are wanting to do a trade. I will provide a list of the names of the roses in that section to you when you email me for a trade. Am I crazy for picking the Cholla?
Thanks, Easy |

| Easy, this fall there will be more cactus rescues at Verrado. There are Teddy Bear and Buckhorn cholla there for sure. Maybe others. You can dig up a nice big one and save it from destruction at the same time. If you are interested, I can let you know when the next rescue is going to happen. sam |

| "Am I crazy for picking the Cholla?" Most definitely! Those thorns have toxins that cause horrid sores long after the initial pain is gone. Go inside and cool off. Surely you can come up with kinder, gentler cactus with beautiful blooms! |
