Royal Poinciana

Posted by margrit Arizona (My Page) on

I have read that there are Royal Poincianas in Phoenix. We've brought some seeds we had picked up in Hawaii, but they must not have been any good, since none sprouted.
Please help!
We would so much love to have a little tree and watch it grow.
You may write direct to my e-mail, if you wish.
Thank you very much in advance.

RE: Royal Poinciana

I got one to sprout and it's about 7 inches now. Will see if it survived the winter in the greenhouse. Not looking great right now. To sprout, I just soaked it in water for a day and then put it in a root plug in a humidity bin. Sprouted quickly, but not all seeds sprouted.
