New Bat Condo

DH built this a few days ago in hopes that the bat colony currently living in the rafters of our

breezeway will move in to it.

That looks great, good job DH. Too bad there is not some incentive to have them move there. Will you be trying to discourage them from the breezeway now?

We think they may have found the condo. There were just a few droppings on the breezeway today and no bats in the crevice where they were before (see photo below).

We'll give it a few more days though before we start celebrating.

Do they have full-time shade in the bat house? Otherwise I'm afraid they might roast during the daytime...
