You know, if they were mine, I'd wait a few weeks to see if they form some decent sized roots and then I'd get them outside. They're much more cold tolerant that we need around here--I'd be more concerned about them needing roots before being planted in the ground. I'd say once they have decent roots get them planted.

I'm pretty conservative though--I'd probably let them develop some roots, plant them in potting soil indoors for a few weeks and then plant them outside; either way I'd wait for at least some good roots before releasing them into the great outdoors.

Speaking of pomegranates, my small garden has a self-sown one (okay, probably bird-sown, but I don't want to think about that) small pomegranate that has popped up in the middle of nowhere. I'm curious to see if/when it develops fruit. I've always grown named cultivars in the past, but I figure why not give this little guy a chance, right?
