a tree for Sedona garden

I am new to Sedona and I have a nice natural garden. One of the trees in it is dead from the Cypress Bark beetle. I will have it removed and taken away. I want to put another tree in its place. What is a good hardy tree that will grow and thrive in the high desert of Sedona? The location of the tree to be planted is in the far NW corner,of the property, which in Feng shui is the most masculine corner of the property. I want a tree that will grow big and strong to support the energy of my husband. something in purple will enhance the 'chi', black, yellow or brown, or white maintains 'chi', red-to pink, white to gre, calms 'chi' Any ideas on what kind of tree would fit any of the qualifications?
