Hey everyone, I know it's late in the month but wanted to learn what people are doing or usually do in January.

What I've done this month:

Pruned rose bush Mr. Lincoln. I think I'll prune again in Fall as suggested by a regular (sorry I can't remember who!)

Planted 3 artichoke plants.

Sowed cowpeas, more carrot and sugar snap pea seeds.

Purchased a Thompson Seedless grape vine to plant next weekend. I sure could use some ideas on attractive support options. It will go against a west-facing wall.

Cleared away the debris from annuals killed by the freeze.

I'm also doing an experiment with scarlet runner beans. Planted a few in a pot that sits next to a south facing wall, and bring the pot indoors when it is below 60 degrees. I'll let you know if I actually get something. It would be nice to get some of these for the hummers!
