Anyone in Phoenix/Mesa Area growing these?

"Pentas lanceolata" and "Craspedia chrysantha Drumstick"

I keep seeing pics of these and would love to try them. Wondering how they do in our area.

Thanks,

I had the pink and purple pentas growing a couple of years ago. I lost both in the big freeze last year. They did pretty well in N. Phx. They struggled in full sun but made it through summer (I had one in full sun, one in part shade). They couldn't take the cold though and it killed both of them. I haven't replanted because I don't want any more plants that need frost protecting. Good luck.

Thanks for replying. I may give the Pentas a try as we don't always have such a big freeze and even if we do it would still add some nice color to help while I'm getting other stuff established.

Thanks,
