Optimum cover material 700 s.f. greenhouse

I've had many opinions as to what I should use on top of my metal-framed greenhouse, from shade cloth of varying percentage shade to plastic covers and BOTH. I grow Euphorbs, Pachypodium and lots of other succulent and weird caudiciform plants. Any suggestions from the experts? Thanks. Linda

I vote 50% shade cloth. Maybe you can remove the shade cloth in the winter and put the plastic on then.
