Pole beans in Mesa?

I noticed on one calendar that the only planting date for pole beans was in the fall. Another calendar has "snap beans" 60-90 days with a March- April planting date.

Does anybody plant pole beans besides yard longs? I'd really like to try a rattlesnake or purple pod pole bean this spring. Is it possible?

I'm planning on some yard longs, butter beans and cowpeas but I'd really love some good snap beans, preferably pole type, especially to make dilly beans. Advice, planting dates, varieties?

Also, anybody know where to get good herb plants around here or maybe an herb show?

I'm also looking for pink-eye purple pod cowpeas. Have lots of seeds to trade! Mostly Bakers Creek and Tomato Fest seeds.
