I would think that any of the fast maturing pole beans would do fine. I just would not expect them to produce new pods after the summer heat hits other than Black Seed YardLongs and Blackeyed Peas.

I saw some Pink-Eyed Purple Hulled seeds at a Super Walmart last week and lots of herb plants at Home Depot.

There are some really good stringless bush beans too. Some are even supposed to continue to produce during the summer heat.

I will be trialling these bush beans this summer and plan on planting by March 1st.

I have grown pole beans lots of times. You want to plant in the late Feb (depending on the weather) to mid March.
I have grown both the purple pod and Rattlesnake beans and they did very well.
There is a small nursery in Apache Junction called Shady Way where I get a lot of my herb plants. What I like about them is that they carry some varieties of herbs that you don't find other places. However, they are a small nursery and it can be hit or miss as to what they have.
According to the Urban Garden in Phoenix the cowpeas can be planted any time from March 1st to August. They like the heat. I have not tried them yet but plan to do so and have already bought my seeds.
