Rhubarb

Is it successful to plant rhubarb in this area? I saw some plantings at lowes yesterday but realize they frequently put out things that don't do all that well in desert gardening. I'd be thrilled to be able to raise some of my own. In the grocery it's $7 a pound for Pete's sake!

i don't think it'll do well here it'll die off in the summer heat but hey give it a try who knows.......lots of things that aren't supposed to do well here adapt from time to time....
