What kind of "nut tree"?

Pecans grow well here, but they aren't dwarf.

I was looking for GARDEN PRINCE GENETIC DWARF ALMOND
they say they only need 250 chill hr, and I think it would fit better with the size of my yard. Does anyone know where can I get one? Thanks

The first place I would try is Treeland Nursery in south Mesa, but I would be surprised if there isn't some place in Casa Grande with one. You can still plant one, but there is no margin for error now--soil conditioning, planting procedures, and watering have to be just right. If you are new to gardening, or to the desert, better to wait for fall. All-in-One Almond is also good, but it's not as dwarf.

Start calling nurseries ... they may be able to special order it for you.

Baker's will do special orders with no fuss.

I ordered one from Willis Orchard and received a really nice tree with lots of branching. Its a little late though to be planting bare root trees in Arizona. If you can find a potted tree at a local nursery you would be better off.

The 1st nursery I checked (Baker Nursery) that Dave Wilson sold to had been shipped some Garden Prince Genetic Dwarf trees but others may have ordered them also.
