Hardy ice plant (Delosperma cooperi)

I am at 4600 ft SE of Tucson. I had 3 large beds of some type of ice plant that appear totally dead after the big freeze. Wasn't ever able to exactly identify it.I believe it was a Delosperma. It got some damage at 15 f in the past and the 4 f we got really did it in.

Is there any chance it will grow back from last years seed?

Experience with cooperi? Will it take 0 F?

I now have these huge areas of dead stem. Could I plant cooperi among it and would it just grow over it?

Would planting as the monsoon starts be a good idea?

TIA
