Other than Gravel - Back to Eden?

Good morning! We found the "Back to Eden" website this past weekend. http://backtoedenfilm.com/

Anyone try to use "Back to Eden" wood chips as an alternative to gravel in your back yard?

We think we are done with the raised beds, flower beds, and all the other beds. Time to put in ground cover. Generally, we have used gravel. No grass allowed. We don't want to waste water on the green.

Anyone use anything besides gravel to finish off your back yard?

I've used wood chips in small areas, but I'd choose them in a minute over gravel in a large area. Much cooler and much, much nicer to walk on.
