It looks like a lilac bush but those are really hard to grow here.....maybe Tucson has a better environment for them. I *think* it's chill hours in winter. I loved them as a kid but I grew up in Vermont.....plenty of winter chill hours. :-\

Looks like lilac to me. Does it has that Lilac fragrant? I saw a bunch in Alburqerque, think it has similar weather like tucson.

I thought it was lilac too and it does have the scent - but I didn't know they grew in this kind of heat. I'm trying to propagate a branch I cut in water.
