Starting A Community Garden

Hello all,

I am working with Parks and Recreation out here to start a community garden in the Tempe area. I am starting to collect names of people who are interested in joining. Please email me and let me know.

There are two or three sites that Parks and Recreation is looking to donate to the project and apparently Tempe had a community garden in the 90s so they are going to show me the old rules they had set up. I would like to be able to let them know how much interest is out there. Please let me know at Chaoslillith@gmail.com if you are interested.

HI Kat, I came across your post while searching for a community garden in the Tempe area. I know little to nothing about community gardens, but was looking for a way to volunteer within the area. I would definitely be interested in helping out with a local garden. Many thanks and please feel free to contact me.

Hey Kat!

I want to start a community garden up here in Page, AZ and I know pretty much nothing about gardening. I'm hoping to learn through the process, and through finding others who know a bit more to help me get started. I saw that your post is dated from a few years ago...how did it all work out? Do you have any advice for me in getting this project off the ground?
