Papaya is blooming!

This plant made it through a very easy winter, and is rewarding me with a spring bloom. Last plant bloomed in early fall, and the freeze from the year before last killed the plant and its fruit. Hoping this blossom sets.

    Awesome! I hope you get some nice, tasty fruit. Keep us posted.

    I've tried them a couple of times in my previous Scottsdale garden and they all got zorched, so I've given up. Hope yours does great! Happy gardening!

    Getting closer! Keep the updates coming, so fun to watch! Males and females are separate trees/individuals for papayas, right?

    This is a solo, so it is self pollinating. Got another big flower going on the other side of the plant too.
