Tradewinds Hibiscus - pot or plant?

Posted by immobilus Tucson, 9a (My Page) on

I just bought about 12 tradewinds hibiscus that are about a foot tall. They're gorgeous, but I didn't know they die below 50 degrees. In tucson, if it gets down to 20 degrees this winter, is it possible they will grow back from the roots if well mulched or will they definitely have to be planted in the ground as an annual (or kept in a pot)?

Don't know much about hibiscus; I have one that I bought on sale and it's in a pot. Doing just dandy. This link has a lot of good info and I think it may answer your question.

Here is a link that might be useful: hibiscus care
