More 'Duh' Questions: Fertilizing Mulched Stuff on Drip System

Me again! :)

OK, I have taken to heart the recommendations here and mulched everything I have within an inch of its life. Now: how do I feed it?! Everything (1 exception) is on a drip system, so scratching into the soil (presumably?) won't work. All the soil is covered by mulch anyway! So... now what? The logical option is to do it with the watering can, but that's a heck of a lot of trips if I need to put 10 gallons (or whatever) of solution on my trees. (Not to mention runoff issues, which I don't have with drip.)

Should I build berms around the big plants/trees, scratch it in, and (once a month or so) skip a drip cycle and flood it?

The one exception to all this is my orange tree, which gets flooded with the hose because we can't find the drip line there. Scratching in whatever should work fine there -- I think? Do I just pull back the mulch and have at it? CAN I still flood water it with the basin mulched?

I'm sure I am overthinking all of this, but it's how my brain works!!
