Those look like ticks to me. I would get on this right away, and if you have any pets, check them (and yourself!) thoroughly to make sure no ticks have attached themselves. You can use diatomaceous earth, which when sprinkled on them and in the areas they are crawling in, will pierce their exoskeletons and cause death from dehydration. Or if you want to go the non-organic route, look for a spray that kills ticks and spray it on any you see and around the general area. Any Home Depot or Lowe's or garden center will carry these items.

I did some research and they look like they may be stink bugs. They are larger than any tick I've ever seen. Probably a little smaller than a dime. Also, I went ahead and killed them and they didn't seem to have an exo-skeleton.

You got some good pictures there, and could submit them to bugguide.net for positive identification. They sort of look like the brown marmorated stink bug.

These are stink bugs and they like hanging out in citrus trees. Although they can cause some damage to soft fruits and vegetables like tomatoes and apples, citrus peels are usually too tough for them.

I take the 'do nothing' approach as they don't to much damage in my yard.

I found a white one this afternoon. Unfortunately my tomato plants are close to the orange tree so that may be what's munching on them.

Arent those squash beetles? Just killed a few yesterday and today on my butternut squash.

If they are, more babys to come unless you spray. Dish soap in a sprayer will work. Spray them directly.

look for these munching on your tomato plants they love them and will level them. i also just put up a post wanting to know a safe way to get rid of them
