| Was just reading about Hair Vetch because I saw an article where it was planted over the garden area and then in the spring mowed and left as mulch. I noticed that it said it got a tap root of 1 to 3 feet and was wondering if anyone as tried using it to break up the hard caliche we have here. I wanted to try doing that with Alfalfa because I was told it worked. How hard is Hairy vetch to kill out when you're done with it. Maybe I'll try small section of each in my yard to see which works best. Any comments would be appreciated.
