Yes it would be perfect for that. It is a pre-emergent natural herbicide. Any seeds that blow into the gravel would be prevented from germinating by the corn gluten. I use it in gravel and even the yard to prevent Bermuda grass from spreading too far. My favorite natural herbicide. It breaks down over time, and it must be in place when germination is starting. It stops root formation during germination which kiils the plant. Awesome stuff, and safe. You can actually eat it... it's that safe. No danger to doggies or kids.

So it can stop Bermuda grass from spreading? I was just wondering because I have Bermuda grass that keeps on coming up outside the boundaries, partly due to the sprinkler system watering where it shouldn't but also it's invading some other plant areas. I thought the Bermuda grass spread through stollens underground. If the corn gluten would work on that, then that would be very awesome, so I can avoid the dreaded Roundup. Any more info on that?

Anybody know a feed store in Mesa or Gilbert that carries it? When do you apply it and how much?
