Bougainvillea lost flowers and dried up leaves?

I bought a 2.5 gallon Barbara Karst Bougainvillea at Lowe's and I set it outside in my garden for the night and planned on planting later (it was late). The next day I go out to look at it and it's leaves were dry and curled up and the flowers had fallen off!

I admit, I don't have much of a green thumb.. but I have no idea what happened?

Dunno but I'd take that baby right straight back to Lowe's.

I'm with Mary on this one: I'd take it right back as well. It may have been damaged/broken at the store and then dried up overnight. Either way, it's not your fault. :)
