where to buy pecan trees?

does anyone know where to buy Pecan Trees? I am looking for a rather large one since I've heard that they are very slow growing...

I'm interested in purchasing one too. The one time I've seen them for sale was at A&P Nursery on Baseline road in Mesa, but that was a couple of years ago.

Whitfills on Southern had some about a month or two ago. Might have more.

Okay, here comes the soap box - close your ears if you don't wanna hear it !

They're a little problematic. I live on a flood irrigated lot and even with that amount of water I still get fairly large branches dying back - last spring I had one heavy enough fall that it went through the roof of a large dog kennel. You really need to make sure that it isn't near any structure. Mine also have gotten the mite that is pretty common, which sheds spots of sticky, honey-dew like substance for most of the fall. It covers anything within twenty feet of the tree and is pretty miserable. And then, the leaves fall.... it's a pretty constant cleanup. But, hey, my dogs *love* the pecans....
