 o
Egg plant -fruit not purple

This year was the first year I grew egg plant in AZ. (Ca. before)
They are just the regular type and the plants grew well in raised beds.
The problem is the fruit is not ripinig. It is some what still green in spots and now is turning yellow. Not a dark purple. I know it is not a water issue as the rest of the plants in the bed did great. The fruit is good size, larger- than a soft ball and shaped nicely. Could it be due to sun burning? I have that issue with tomatoes and apples. Thanks in advance

are they in full sun? Mine are under 50% shade cloth and are fruiting well but sometimes I'll get a few that brown up or yellow and I think it's due to the sun

They're getting sun scorched. Mine are doing the same thing. Try to get them while still sort of green. Those yellow ones are tough and bitter.
