Recommendations on What to plant - high shade

Hello, I have a 5X13 area on the north side of my house. There is a porch directly to the west of it. Lots of shade, maybe too much. What would work best in this area in either flowers or vegetables. Looking to get the area growing starting end of summer...if it ever does :)

Herbs ... mint

Many so-called "house plants", such as Sanseveria, Ficus benjimani, spider plant, Philodendron (the big-leafed one), will grow there with just a bit of frost protection in the winters.
