Desert Herb Landscape

I would like to utilize rosemary and purple sage in the front yard desert landscape with full sun. Are there other low maintenance herbs anyone can recommend? I'm in the east Valley area.

    different varieties going gangbusters ... thyme, rosemary, sage, marjoram, oregano, tarragon

    Basil - give it a thick mulch and good water and it loves the heat.

    "Purple sage"????

    If you mean the "Texas sage", it isn't a sage. If you mean Salvia clevelandii, it doesn't like full sun. Regular garden sage does OK if it's getting enough water.
