Onion Question

We were given a packet of seeds that are hand-marked "regal pup onions". I can't find a reference to anything similar on the net. They are definitely onion seeds of some kind. Do these sound familiar to anyone? Are they just mis-marked? If I don't get an answer, I guess we'll just stick them in the ground and see what pops up!

I've never heard of them. With the word "pup" in the name one might assume they are some kind of bunching onion.
