Don't know what this is called but blooms once a year during July or so.

Omigosh! I wish something that random would bloom in my yard! What does it look like from below the blossoms?

It is a bulb, so it is hidden in the soil and then suddenly shoots up with a single stalk, blooms, the bloom lasts for 10 days or so and then disappears again.

Beautiful! It's a "blood lily", Scadoxus multiflorus, and a very pretty one at that. Can you share what conditions (light/watering) you give it through the year to keep it happy and blooming for you? Thanks for sharing it with us, it's very pretty! Happy gardening!
