I'm curious how everyone waters their veg gardens. I have a strip along a wall about 3' deep and 30' long that I routinely plant in. To date what I've been using are those black soaker hoses connected to a timer. Those don't seem to work very well. They periodically spring leaks and are very sensitive to bends and differences in elevation. As our extreme temps hit I find that I have to have them turn on 2x/day to avoid wilt. I had recently cut back to only a late morning watering and just noticed that zuchini had wilted back dramatically at 1:00 today (the morning watering is at 10am).

So I'm interested in what people are using and hoping to find something more efficient than what I currently have. Any advice, descriptions, details about wilt, etc. would be most appreciate and I think would help other newbies in the same situation. Thanks guys. You're great.
