Looking for a tropical-looking tree for Phx/Scottsdale

My 4-year (in ground) jacaranda died with last winter's frost. Leafed out a bit, but new growth burned up in the summer heat. I'd like to replace it with a similar tree - light, airy, see-through-the-branches. It's next to pygmy date palms, but I need something taller. Also have a couple of Queen palms and a Mediterranean fan palm in the yard. Any suggestions? Or should I try another jacaranda?

I did some research and it sounds like the Hong Kong orchid tree would be a great choice! I will check my local nurseries. Thanks for the tip!

You might also look into the Tipu tree (Tipuana tipu). They have larger leaflets than your Jacaranda and produce yellow flowers in late May. It will grow larger than the Hong Kong orchid tree.
