Add beauty and welcome shade to arid gardens with one or more of these trees from the region
Full StoryI have 2 lysiloma watsonii in my yard. I kind of like them despite the mess they create twice a year (small puff flowers in the Spring and hard seed pods around this time of year). I cleaned up most of the pods today and was wondering if they would be an acceptable addition to my compost heap or if adding them would just mean hundreds of little trees popping up out of my pile and perhaps also wherever I spread the finished compost. I decided not to add them to the heap.
